primeCPR Feedback with the Re-Usable Sensor

Information on primeCPR

  • When attached to the patient’s chest, the sensor provides real-time feedback on the performed CPR compressions with measurement of depth and rate for each single compression, therefore monitoring their quality.
  • The sensor is suitable for use on adults, and children above the age of 8 years.
  • Use of primeCPR is identified by a green port on your device and a corresponding green plug on the re-usable sensor cable.

Preparing for use of primeCPR

Ensure the primeCPR sensor cable is connected to your device.

A primeCPR PAD must be used so that the primeCPR sensor remains in position and does not lift off the patient’s chest when pressure is relieved, as this will lead to inaccurate measured values.

The visual and audible notifications of Push harder” occurs when the recommended thorax compression depth has not been reached. The prompt is repeated every 7 seconds until the recommended compression depth has been achieved and the audible and visual message “Good compressions” occurs.

The optional message of “Fully release” occurs as the reminder for fully release on the upstroke to enable the sensor to re-calibrate.

🚨 These audible and visual messages will not occur when:

  • The metronome is in a ventilation phase
  • During the ECG analysis in AED mode
  • The device is ready to shock
  • The resuscitation is finished

Cleaning and Disinfecting

Follow your organisation’s Infection Control policy and procedures, with an awareness that use of non-manufacturer recommended agents may cause damage to the equipment and its components, over time. Adhere to the User Manual for recommended cleaning and disinfection agents.

Do not immerse the sensor or cable in water.
